So, today we have brought a new collection of Karandi dresses from the house of Shariq Textile. This collection consists of printed Karandi dresses / Khaddar Designs. The attires are ready to wear and can be use for parties. In fact the collection in real sense is a party wear collection which includes precious printed designs on fabulous khaddar fabric. Khaddar fabric is very much famous in South Asia and all over the world as well. The specialty of khaddar fabric is its comfort and durability. Out and about....behind the scenes - Elena Perminova

The first shot of Elena was taken just before the Jean Paul Gaultier show. The second while we were waiting for the show to start. The only rest our street style stars actually get is when the shows are on and of course when they are in their cars between the shows. But Elena and Miroslava from yesterday are brilliant, playful and give us lots of time to get our shots. In these shots she is wearing a Louis Vuitton hat, Tommy Hilfiger jumper and Balenciaga  (I want these) shoes.

Travel Stylish

Yes, the title speaks for itself.  I’m currently trying to plan my visit to NY in April. I know that there is some time ahead, but time flies. Plus, I like to plan ahead and organize, schedule. That’s me :) I enjoy planning and organizing when it comes to travel. There shouldn’t be any item missed and skipped. 

My biggest concern is the long flight; about 10 hours.  I must dress comfy yet stylish.  I hate traveling unstylishly.  I will wear skinny jeans, that have a soft fabric and a pair of ballet flats but I’m afraid of my feet getting cold.  So I still haven’t made my mind up yet regarding shoes.  I could use some stylish but highly effective suggestions! Please, please, send them over here! :)

I totally hate those ugly UGG boots and sweat pants. So please stay away from them.  Go get a pair of ballet flats or some comfy stylish sneakers.  Just not those ugly chunky UGGs.  You can opt for soft skinny jeans or semi-thick leggings which will allow you to move comfortably during your long flight hours.  If you’re a skirt/dress stype person, you could try maxi ones which will you keep both warm and comfy.  Choose a loose top and a cardigan, blazer or another kind of jacket you like. Oh and don’t forget the scarf/shawl. You will need it as the weather in the plane can get pretty chilly :)

So, while I’m drowning in thoughts I might as well give inspiration to other travelers out there, sharing some traveling celebrities :) I really like the pulled-together look with the skinny jeans and a blazer + scarf combo.

Finally, I’d like to hear your ideas and style tips while traveling.  What have you got for me? :) Please share!

Başlık sanırım konuyu açıkça ele veriyor.  Nisan’da New York’a yapacağım geziyi planlamaya çalışıyorum bu günlerde.  Biraz daha süre olduğunun farkındayım, ancak zaman göz açıp kapayıncaya dek geçtiğinden çok da son ana bırakmak istemiyorum.  Bu tür geziler olduğunda geniş geniş planlamayı ve organizasyonlar yapmayı çok seviyorum. Ben buyum :) Hiç bir detayı unutmak/atlamak istemem.

Uçuşla ilgili en büyük derdim, yaklaşık 10 saatlik bir uçuş olması.  Uçuşta da tarzımdan ödün vermekten hoşlanmam, rahat ama abartısız şık olmaktan hoşlanırım.  Yumuşak bir kumaştan skinny jean ve bir çift babet giyeceğim.  Ancak babetlerin içinde ayaklarım üşür mü endişesi yaşıyorum an itibariyle.  Dolayısıyla, ayakkabı konusunu tam oturtmuş değilim.  Elinizde varsa eğer şık ve kullanışlı fikirler, lütfen buraya doğru gönderiniz :)

UGGleri kim yarattı niye yarattı bilinmez ancak benim onlardan ciddi anlamda tiksindiğim bir gerçek. Bu kadar kaba ve çirkin bir ayakkabı Crocs’lardan sonra budur herhalde.  Uçuşta da lütfen bu çirkin şeylerden uzak durun.  Gidin güzel bir çift babet ya da nasıl rahatsanız, şık bir spor ayakkabı giyin ama bu UGG denen faciadan uzak durun.  Yumuşak kumaşlı skinny jean veya kalınca bir kumaştan tayt uzun uçuşlarınızda rahatlıklarıyla çok işinizi görecektir.  Etek/elbise insanıysanız o zaman da bunların maksi olanlarını tercih edin derim, zira hem sıcak tutacaktırlar hem de rahat hareket imkanıyla sizi özgür kılacaktırlar. Dökümlü bir üst ve uzun hırka, blazer ceket veya beğendiğiniz herhangi bir tip ceket seçin ve şalınızı da aman diyeyim unutmayın.  Uçakta havanın kaç derece olacağı bilinmez :)

Here are some results of our quick styling and photography project! It was very last minute and ended up raiding our flatmates wardrobe, grabbing our friend (who is very much model material) and shooting inside our classroom. I think they turned out pretty well considering the backdrop consists of a projector screen?! More to come....

This is what it looks like when everyone is shooting and our subject is on the move. we are all on the street with the traffic. Then suddenly your subject finds herself in the middle of the road on her own - or maybe that is a trick of the lens ;-) In these shots Miroslava is wearing Louis Vuitton.

Balanciaga never disappoints me when coming to showing off their new collections. The 2013 Resort pieces have been great inspiration for my current uni project - using structured silhouettes and and block contrasts. 

How To Dress For Your Body Shape, Part 4

Hey there! I'm here with the last part of the series, How To Dress For Your Body Shape, with the triangle! 
Who are triangles? The ones who have broad shoulders, narrow hips, either with a flat bottom or a curvier one.  Bust size varies.  

Choose drape, soft fabrics, flowing tops.  Tailored button downs with waist definition are perfect for this body shape.  Keep the collar open and wear a feminine cami under it. Cardigans must be V-neck and kept unbuttoned.  These will all soften the broad shoulder line.  Stay away from puffy arms, sleeves, shoulder-pads and anything overly volumed. 
As for dresses, pick wider straps instead of spaghetti, since wider straps will shorten the length of the shoulder. 

Oh, and one more thing; strapless style is best for the broad shouldered ones! So go and rock the look now! 

Teri Hatcher, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Garner are some of those triangle celebs out there.

Aman diyorum! Elbise olarak, spagetti askı yerine daha geniş askıları tercih edin ki omuzlarınız biraz daralsın.  

Unutmadan, straplez kesim geniş omuzlarda harika durur.  Haydi, ne duruyorsunuz, koşun giyinin straplez üstlerinizi elbiselerinizi ve etrafa havanızı atın ;)
